Tour Plan
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. After a brief introduction and briefing about your expedition, you will embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. The journey offers picturesque views of Rwanda’s rolling hills, terraced landscapes, and local villages. You will arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy the serene environment. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or similar accommodation.
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. This briefing includes essential information about the gorilla trekking experience, safety protocols, and the guidelines to follow while in the presence of the gorillas. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will embark on a trek through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek can be challenging, depending on the gorillas’ location, but the effort is immensely rewarding. Spending an hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat is a truly magical experience. After the trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest and reflect on the day’s adventures. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or similar accommodation.
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before visiting the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village. This cultural experience offers insights into the traditional life of the Rwandan people, including their customs, music, dance, and crafts. After the cultural tour, you will start your journey back to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a brief city tour of Kigali, including visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local markets. Finally, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your memorable gorilla trekking expedition.
