Overview

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Kaije Safaris and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing after your flight and preparing for the adventure ahead. Overnight at Boma Hotel Entebbe, a charming boutique hotel offering comfort and excellent service.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through the rolling hills, lush landscapes, and vibrant communities of southwestern Uganda. En route, enjoy a stopover at the Equator for a photo opportunity and lunch. Upon arrival in Bwindi, check in at Buhoma Lodge, an eco-friendly lodge nestled on the edge of the forest, providing comfortable accommodations and stunning views. Enjoy dinner and an evening at leisure.
Today is the highlight of your safari – gorilla trekking! After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. You will then set off into the dense forest with an experienced guide to track a family of mountain gorillas. The trek can be challenging, but the reward of encountering these gentle giants in their natural habitat is an experience of a lifetime. Spend up to one hour observing and photographing the gorillas before returning to the lodge for relaxation and dinner. Overnight at Buhoma Lodge.
After breakfast, engage in a cultural experience with the Batwa people, the indigenous inhabitants of the Bwindi Forest. Learn about their traditional way of life, hunting and gathering techniques, and medicinal knowledge. Participate in a community walk, visiting local schools, hospitals, and craft markets. This cultural immersion offers a deeper understanding of the Batwa’s rich heritage and their connection to the forest. Return to Buhoma Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, bid farewell to Bwindi and begin your journey back to Entebbe. Enjoy a scenic drive with opportunities to stop and take in the beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will have some time for last-minute shopping or relaxation before being transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
