Tour Plan

Begin your trek at the Nyakalengija trailhead after registration and meeting your guide and porters. Hike through the tropical montane forest, watching for birds and primates. Arrive at Nyabitaba Camp after 5-6 hours of hiking. Overnight at Nyabitaba Camp.

Continue your trek, crossing the Mubuku River and climbing through the bamboo zone. Pass through the giant heather and lobelia zones. Reach John Matte Camp after 7-8 hours of hiking. Overnight at John Matte Camp.

Trek through the challenging Bigo Bog, using a series of planks and boards to cross. Climb to Lake Bujuku, surrounded by towering peaks. Arrive at Bujuku Camp after 5-6 hours of hiking. Overnight at Bujuku Camp.

Start early in the morning to summit Mount Speke, navigating through steep and rocky terrain to reach the summit. Enjoy the panoramic views from the summit of Victoria Emanuelle Peak. Descend back to Bujuku Camp for dinner and overnight. The round trip takes approximately 8-10 hours.

Start your descent, retracing your steps back to John Matte Camp. Continue down to Nyabitaba Camp for lunch. Complete your trek by descending to Nyakalengija, the starting point. The total descent time is approximately 7-9 hours.
