Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a representative from Kaije Safaris will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Settle into your accommodation and relax after your flight. Depending on your arrival time, you might explore the local area or enjoy the hotel’s amenities.

After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, known for its high concentration of primates. Enjoy the picturesque views of the countryside, tea plantations, and local villages along the way. Arrive at Kibale forest camp in the afternoon, where you will check in and have the rest of the day at leisure to explore the surroundings or simply relax.

Start the day with an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will trek through the dense forest to locate and observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat. After this exhilarating experience, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a guided walk in the Bigodi Swamp Sanctuary, known for its rich biodiversity, including numerous bird species and other primates. Return to Primate Lodge for the night.

After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic Rwenzori Mountains. Check into Mweya Safari Lodge, located on a peninsula overlooking the Kazinga Channel. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of birdlife. The boat cruise offers fantastic opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing. Return to the lodge for a relaxing evening.

Begin the day with a morning game drive in the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Look out for elephants, lions, buffaloes, and various antelope species. After lunch, embark on an afternoon explosion crater drive, which takes you through the park’s volcanic craters and offers stunning panoramic views. Return to Mweya Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions. Arrive at Buhoma Lodge in Bwindi in the afternoon and check in. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning at Lake Bunyonyi, with the option to swim, canoe, or simply relax by the lakeside. Later, begin your journey back to Entebbe, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon or early evening, in time for your departure flight, marking the end of your 8-day adventure with Kaije Safaris.
